Wood Surround Combination Storm Windows
Product Description
The SP Windows Wood Combination Storm Window is one of SP’s flagship products. Take a wood framed storm window where the rails and stiles have been constructed to the dimensions of historic storm windows and integrate a fully functional aluminum combination window into that frame. The result -- from the street it looks like you have beautiful, historic wood storms with all the authentic details right down to the beveled edges which simulates old-fashioned glazing.
From the inside, you have all the modern convenience of a modern, self-storing storm window. If you are committed to wood storms to preserve the look of your vintage home, you’ll no longer have to swap out storms and screens every season. Both sashes of the storm are removable from the inside for cleaning (this is a primary benefit you can’t find on similar windows) and you can even order an extra-screen if you want full-screen performance for the warmer months. What’s even better is the fully integrated weep-hole system which helps keep your sashes and your window sills in great shape. Custom made to order and available in a number of configurations including: ISR (Inside Removable) storms and screens for French casement windows, double-hung and even round/arch top. Tested and approved for airport noise mitigation in Minneapolis-St. Paul. These are among the best storm window options for mitigating noise, even if you keep your old-fashioned rope and pulley windows.
