Aluminum Flush Mount Storm Windows
Product Description
Flush mounted storm windows are storm windows where the aluminum portion of the storm fit flush with the exterior window trim. It used to be sacrilege to put an aluminum storm window on a vintage home. Thankfully, due to SP Window’s unmatched attention to the smallest details, now aluminum storm windows are an acceptable and even prudent choice for vintage homes.
SP has improved aluminum storm windows in two key areas. First, aesthetically, the powder-coated aluminum members have been carefully dimensioned to mirror the dimension of historic wood storm windows. On the flush frame storm windows, an ingenious expander hides and protects all hardware. Beveled edges on the divided lites, rails and stiles give these windows the appearance of an old-fashioned glazed window. The second key improvement is the off-set weep holes located on the bottom rail. The SP system does not trap water and allows enough air-flow to keep your sills dry and helps eliminate rot. Available in double-hung and ISR (Inside Removable) storm and screen. Removable top and bottom sash inserts (glass and screens) make for easy cleaning. High quality charcoal aluminum screens. Wool-pile weather-stripping. Meets most historical renovation standards. Available in white or bronze powder coat. Patent pending.
