Service areas
SP Windows offers installation and repair services primarily in Minneapolis and St. Paul and are particularily and singularly focused on older homes, most built 1950 and before. We do work outside of these areas when the age and style of the home are appropriate for our niche. We also ship products across the continental US.
We generally work on all-wood windows and doors. We do work on projects with vinyl windows, modern casement windows
We’d love to take on all projects but not all jobs are a good fit.
specialties
SP’s window work generally encompases vintage windows, especially double hung windows with ropes and pulleys, chains or balance systems from 1950 and before. We work on fixed wood windows, especially ones which are putty-glazed. We work on french casement windows (inswing) primarily putty glazed with divided lite and single pane glass.
SP works also in storm windows which are typically used on homes from the 50’s and older. We offer aluminum storms, wood combination storms and wood storm replicas.
We do offer modern replacement windows which are specifically designed to blend in with old windows or look like windows that have always been there but with all the modern convienences.
