Historic Replica Storm Windows
Product Description
Flush mounted storm windows are storm windows where the aluminum portion of the storm fit flush with the exterior window trim. It used to be sacrilege to put an aluminum storm window on a vintage home. Thankfully, due to SP Window’s unmatched attention to the smallest details, now aluminum storm windows are an acceptable and even prudent choice for vintage homes.
Basic screen material is charcoal aluminum but we can source alternatives such as copper screens or no-see-um screen for an upcharge. SP is among a select group of window makers who still do things the old-fashioned way making our custom storms and screens perfect for historic preservation projects U.I. refers to “united inches”. To calculate UI, measure the width and height of your window opening. For example, a 30” Wide x 55” tall window opening equals 85 united inches.
